I worked with the Italian NGO Cesvi as a Security Advisor based on a short contract for 2 weeks. I have worked with Christian Aid Uk in Afghanistan for about three years and half as a security office & Manager and it was the most challenging place I have ever worked with as the risk toward Christian Aid was higher than any other INGOs because of its name and complex security situation of Herat province and I was responsible to carry out the tasks below: 1) Ensuring the safety and Security of all staff including local and expats during their stay in Christian Aid office, gust houses. 2) Advising on critical situations in the field and inside the city to all Christian Aid staff. 3) Making strong security network within other operating INGOs, NGOs, UN and INSO. 4) Improving capacity building of all senior and support staff in relation with safety and security. 5) Providing and implementing essential first aid training for both Christian Aid staff and Christian Aid's Partners. 6) Updating and making Afghanistan Country Plan, Contingency Plan, SOP regularly. 7) Building effective relationship with essential Governmental sectors, beneficiaries and local leaders. 8) Providing Safety and Security advisories for all travelers and expat visitors. 9) Providing and preparing effective security plans. 10) Assessing and analyzing the security situation within Herat province and overall security situation in Afghanistan. 11) Conducting Safety & Security trainings.
